Joy Lynn Fields founded the company in 1995 after an early career as a brand positioning and strategy consultant with Pyramid, where she founded the research division, trained aspiring brand managers and served as the company’s first Vice President. She grew up in a small southern town, but during her 25 year career in marketing and advertising, Joy Lynn has helped some of the world’s most revered brands build their businesses. In a focus group setting, as a moderator, she has the uncanny ability to get people to say anything. And because she has worked “on both sides of the glass,” she can easily adapt to any situation and any audience. Whether presenting to the board of directors or talking to a luxury traveler, a cardio-thoracic surgeon or an 85-year old woman about incontinence, you can be confident that Joy Lynn will bring out every participants’ most helpful insights.

Josh Lane has over 25 years of experience of brand strategy consulting, marketing, and market research. Josh has worked with Joy Lynn for over 25 of those years, dating back to their days as brand strategy consultants for Pyramid. Josh has continued to be active in both the digital space and consumer packaged goods, serving in roles ranging from a CPG brand manager to VP of marketing for a social media startup and most recently, Head of Marketing for the CI Group of Google.

Josh’s research background spans a broad array of consumer and B2B categories ranging from on-site interviews & observations to interviews with high level executives & stakeholders. He is also well-acquainted with the need to be able to quickly adapt and adjust to the ever-changing retail environment in order to capture and maximize on-site learnings. Josh’s focus is IDIs, Executive interviews and multi-dimensional on-site projects involving feedback from both customers & staff.
